The Connecticut Press Club's Annual Communications Contest is Open

The Annual Communications Contest is ready for your submissions. To enter, follow the directions on the contest site. To see a complete list of categories, please click here. Email our contest director Tom Renner with questions about the contest.

January 18th at noon is the regular contest deadline.
The final deadline is at noon on February 8th. The final book deadline is on February 1st.

Eligibility: Anyone who lives or works in Connecticut is eligible to enter. Work must be published from January 1 through December 31, 2022.

Contest Rules:

• Entries will be capped at three per entrant in any given category. For example, you can enter up to three different articles in 7D - Specialty Articles - Education.

• Entrants can submit up to ten entries in total across all categories;

• Entrants cannot submit the same work in more than one category or subcategory.

Fees: CT Press Club members: The fee is $25 for the first entry and $15 for each additional entry. The non-member fee is $30 for the first entry and $20 for each additional entry.

Membership: You can join or renew your membership to the CT Press Club HERE. You do not have to join the NFPW to enter the local competition.

​

Deadlines: January 18th at noon is the regular contest deadline. After this date, a $25 late fee will be charged for the first entry you submit. The final deadline is at noon on February 8th. The final book deadline is on February 1st.

High School contest: In addition to the professional competition, the CT Press Club is holding a High School Communications Contest. Entries must be produced by a current high school student or a recently graduated student who produced the work between February 1, 2022, and January 31, 2023. Learn more HERE.

Submissions: The contest will be ALL electronic. No hard copy submissions will be accepted and no offline payments will be accepted.
